 Tomás O’ Leary, is a director of MosArt Architects and the Passive House Academy, specialising in Passive House design. Tomás built and lives in Ireland’s first Certified Passive House and will share his experiences at the Information Event. He will also illustrate how existing homes can be upgraded in terms of energy efficiency.

Peter Smith, Technical Support, of Ecological Building Systems, will talk about the key areas to insulate in the home (roof/attic, wall & floor).  He will also outline the main types of insulation, and potential issues to watch out for when upgrading the insulation in your home.

If you have been cold in your house this winter, but are overwhelmed by the task of upgrading your home, this talk is for you. Gavin O Se, director of Greenbuild, is an energy assessor who visits and tests homes for heat losses, helping the homeowner prioritise areas for action.

In this seminar he will be discussing the typical findings of an energy assessor and will make sense of the many decisions you need to consider when thinking about upgrading your house - insulate the walls? The attic? Or a new boiler? What about new windows?
